Introduction
The GEMS Building Permits system solution
provides an easy to use, menu driven method of entering, updating
and tracking information pertinent to the administration and
inspection of permits within a variety of Departments and
organizations located in a central location. It is available using either a 1)
Windows (standalone) or 2) Windows/NT or 3) IBM iSeries server and requires Windows
98 (or better) workstations.

- Automatic interface to the GEMS Tax Assessment Real Estate master files if
present on the system.
- Users can enter and update text pertinent to permits, inspections and
contractors performance.
- Contractor license expiration and permit inspection scheduling
capabilities allow the user to streamline the day to day operation of the
department by eliminating manual tracking of this information.

gathering of application data over the Internet
