
Utility Billing
Introduction
The Utility Billing applications handles Sewer and
Water District billing requirements. Cash receipts are handled
similar to the GEMS Tax Collection system. This application in
1995 was completely revamped to work effectively with the AS/400
relational database capability.
Features
- Multi-District Processing - User defined district/phase
Master File.
- Meter Descriptions - Ability to enter user defined meter
descriptions.
- Rates - User defined rates. These rates can be metered,
flat rate and fixtures or a combination of both.
- Online Entry and Editing of all Transactions - All
transactions are validated against user defined master
files and other acceptable system values.
- Automatic Bill Printing - Automatic printing of bills for
any of the calculation methods for Water Consumption,
Sewer Usage or a combination of both.
- Assessment Tracking - Tracking, Billing and Receipts can
also be maintained for Assessment functions of the
system.
- Detailed Reporting - System includes detailed reporting
of all functions included.
- Multi-path Inquiry Capability - System allows inquiry by
paths such as Account Number, Name or Property Location.
- Cash Drawer Capability - This system can interface with
theGEMS Tax Collection Module.
- Surcharge Processing - Capability of adding surcharge
fees on a customer by customer basis.
- Minimum Billing Requirements - Ability to set minimum
bill amounts by Rate Code.
