Review Methods

Parts may be placed into inventory by manufacturing them.  You may use a method to produce a part for inventory just as if you were making it for a customer.  JMAS200 supports estimates and orders for jobs requiring subcomponents.

A method is set up for a particular part number.  The information entered is used to estimate the stock job and set up the stock job when it becomes an order.  Once a method is set up it can be used for many orders or even as a subcomponent.

A method contains the following information:

  1. Finished Goods - contains a description of the part, date established, and other information about the part.
  2. Bill of Operations - shows labor operations and detailed instructions required to produce the part.
  3. Bill of Materials - A list of all the materials to be used from inventory.
  4. Bill of Subcontract Purchases - A list of all purchases for materials or outside services.
  5. Bill of Specifications - special information about the part.
  6. Bill of Quality Control - QC function to be performed in the production process.
  7. Bill of Specifications - A list of the engineering changes made to the part.
